New Jeans

I got new jeans.

They were in the Levi shop sale!

They fit me neat.

I wore them to the library.
I walked past the desk a few times so that Sheena might see them.

When I handed my lends in for checking I got the other, older, woman.
But Sheena looked at me and didn’t say anything about my jeans.

Maybe they are not as cool as I thought?

After, I met my friend Kobe. ( He is from Namibia, if you are wondering about the strange name!)
I saw him looking at my legs as I walked closer to him.

I said “I got new jeans!” and started to tell him about the library and Sheena’s skirt.
He said ” Turn-ups aren’t cool.”

So, maybe that explains it?
Maybe Sheena doesn’t like turn-ups either?

I turned them down, even though they drag a little at the back, ‘specially on stairs.

I’ll try again tomorrow!

Sheena is cool!

So, my new girlfriend is Sheena.
Well sort of a girlfriend I guess?

What has to happen for you to call a girl a girl friend?
I never know about that one. Do I have to know her, like have spoken to her? Or if I have seen her but not spoken to her does that count?

Ha! Just kidding! I’m not that humble!
I’ve spoken to her alright!

I spoke to her when I handed my books back in.
She was at the counter – she always is on a Thursday, I’ve seen her lots of times.

So I go up and say “ Here are my books and I am sorry that they re late”
And she said “That’s cool.”

Hey! Modern chick!

She had a sort of strange coloured skirt on. Like the colour of watermelons and deep purple.
But I didn’t look at it, there was something else I needed to see.

I looked at her badge, ‘cos I’d never been close enough to read it before.
“Sheena Martins.”

Cool.

She’s called Sheena.

Cool.

How it all started

In the beginning, there was the word, and the word was humble.
Then came Adam and Eve.

Adam, being a pre-humble and arrogant man, grabbed the only word available.

So he got humble.

Then God made the rest of the words.
And Eve got them.

And so it came to pass.
The humble male.

Trying to communicate with females.
But they had all the words.

It was going to be an uphill battle.
